Welcome to Bahia Chapter!
Bahia Chapter's mission is to encourage our members to develop self-confidence, accept responsibility, make decisions and use their creative talents to increase their professional status. To accomplish this, our objective is to elevate and maintain the standards of our professions and promote its working relationship with management through continuing education and authorized programs.
Chartered December 4, 1962, Bahia Chapter is one of over 30 chapters in California. Current membership of Bahia consists of 62 members from Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside and San Diego Counties.
Worldwide, IAAP has over
600 chapters and 40,000 members.
Our members include administrative assistants, executive secretaries, office coordinators, information specialists, and related administrative professionals. Many corporations, educational institutions, students, and international affiliate organizations also belong to IAAP.
About International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP)
IAAP is a not-for-profit association for office professionals. Its mission is to enhance the success of career-minded administrative professionals by providing opportunities for growth through education, community building, and leadership development. IAAP is a very important aspect of an office professional’s career. The association works in partnership with employers to promote excellence. It also enables networking among office professionals having similar career goals and interests. Members take part in activities that develop initiative, leadership abilities and technical skills:
Continuing Education -- Obtain professional certification and learn new business techniques.
Community Outreach
Bahia supports Women Helping Women (WHW) by providing donations of basic supplies, clothing and accessories needed by WHW to operate successfully. Please bring your donations to the monthly meetings, and we will see that they are delivered. If you need a list or have any questions, please contact us. WHW is a non-profit organization providing services to low-income clients each year by helping them attain and sustain employment and reach self-sufficiency. All their services are provided free of charge, including professional business apparel and accessories, computer classes, life skills workshops, and employment support services. WHW provides services for men as well through their Men2Work program.

Meeting Information
Bahia Chapter holds dinner meetings on the second Thursday of each month.
Please join us at the:
Entry is on Sandpointe off Main Street. There is no parking fee. (Please note, this is NOT the large DoubleTree on the other side of MacArthur.) We invite you to attend our monthly meetings to learn more about our association and its activities. Networking begins at 6:00 p.m., dinner is served at 6:30 p.m., immediately followed by an informative, educational program. Many of our educational programs offer CPS/CAP recertification credits. To make dinner meeting reservations, please call our Hotline at 714.647.1640 or send an email to veemolinari@yahoo.com before noon the Monday before the dinner meeting. For added convenience, you may want to register for standing reservation status. Please download the form below and return it to Vee Molinari, CAP-OM per the instructions noted on the form. Each conference or program is described briefly below – for more complete information regarding any of these programs, please check the IAAP website. Annual California Division Education Forums and California Division Annual Meetings are usually held the 3rd weekend in June and rotate between northern and southern California. An Education Forum is held on Friday giving participants an opportunity to choose among tracks of training, with Saturday and Sunday being business days. Also included are an open house, vendor fair and awards banquet. Installation of new Division Officers takes place during the business meeting on Saturday. CEU/CPS Recertification points are granted for seminars and keynote speakers. (Attendance 100-300)
Educational Forums and Annual Meetings are held in various locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. It includes your choice of many seminars, both professional and personal, keynote speakers, an open house, vendor fair, business meetings, installation banquet of new International Officers and a music concert as well as some great trips and tours. This is open to members of IAAP and affiliates from all over the world. CEU/CPS Recertification points are granted for seminars and keynote speakers. (Attendance 1,500 – 4,000)
Spring Conferences are held each March. It is a 2˝ day conference held in North America providing opportunities to network, share ideas, problems and solutions with other admins. You will have the opportunity to hear three to four top-notch presenters and return to your job with renewed enthusiasm and ideas. You will also receive recertification points if you are an active CPS and/or CAP holder. CEUs are available as an alternative to recertification points. (Attendance 150-300)
Fall Conferences are held each October in various locations in North America. This 2˝ day conference provides opportunities to network, share ideas, problems and solutions with other admins. You will have the opportunity to hear three to four top-notch presenters and return to your job with renewed energy and vitality. You will also receive recertification points if you are an active CPS and/or CAP holder. You can receive CEUs as an alternative to recertification points. (Attendance 150-300)
